Central Italy includes four regions, Tuscany, Le Marche, Lazio and Umbria.

Tuscany: Many come in search of fine art, others to explore the extraordinary countryside. Gourmets and wine buffs descend on Tuscany to enjoy the simple yet wonderful cuisine and wine. Walkers enjoy the mountain paths, cyclists the rolling hills, summer vacationers the sea coast and islands. Le Marche: Whether you want to admire masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture, trek across wild uncharted mountains or hunt out the best of the catch in a Mediterranean fishing port, Le Marche has enough to keep you busy for years. Lazio: It represents an unparalleled experience between art, containing the Borghese Gallery with its masterpieces, and the nature surrounding it, including lakes and ancient trees. Umbria: Has two gems that shouldn't be missed Carsulae is an ancient Roman town traversed by the ancient Via Flaminia, where important public buildings have been discovered. We can still see the remains of the S. Damiano Arch, with particularly beautiful and fascinating surroundings. The other gem, closely linked to the area’s makeup is the Dunarobba Fossil Forest, a rare example of a forest that existed 3 million years ago, with very well-preserved tree trunks set in a lunar landscape.

Abbazia Club Hotel

Campobello Mazara, Italy

Baia del Faro is part of a complex known as Kartibubbo, situated on the south west coast of Sicily. The nearest large town is Mazara del Vallo, which has restaurants open all year round. Further inland you will find Campobello di Mazara, and on the coast just a few kilometres away is Tre Fontane. The resort is very well situated for excursions and organised trips to explore the nearby islands. From the resort it takes 2hrs to drive to the Valley of the Temples.

Castellaneta Marina is located in Puglia in the south of Italy. Castellaneta rises along the ravine, but this small town is mostly known as the birthplace of Rudolph Valentino, the Italian emigrant who became a world known actor in the 20 century. Castellaneta has recently opened a museum to celebrate the myth of its famous fellow-citizen. Citta' del Catalano Resort is situated only 1 Km from a long stretch of sandy beach, between the coast of Taranto and Metaponto, an ancient area of "Magna Grecia". Nearby you will also find several golf courses.

Grand Hotel Grisone

Grand Hotel Grisone (1100m) is situated on the wide planes of Laceno, a mountainous region of southern Italy in the Campania region near Avellino. In winter time, ski lifts are nearby. In summer it becomes a very attractive area for nature lovers who wish to enjoy fresh air and the local countryside. Due to the road from Avellino to Bagnoli Irpino, it is possible to take a day trip by car to the Amalfi coastline, Pompei or Napoli (about an hour and half by car).

Grand Hotel Tre Croci

Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy

Situated on the pass bearing the same name at 1800 metres approximately 8 kms from the centre of Cortina, Grand Hotel Tre Croci affords direct access to some of the most attractive ski slopes and cross- country ski tracks in the Dolomites (once the setting of the Winter Olympic games). In every season there are walks in the beautiful area of Cortina d'Ampezzo (1220mt). There are no self-catering facilities but the resort offers a self- service restaurant as well as the hotel restaurant. The hotel operates a shuttle bus service to Cortina.

Hotel Mirage (1224m) is located in one of the most prestigious areas of the world famous resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo. This area was once the setting of the Winter Olympic games. A year-round resort, Cortina is known as the 'Queen of the Dolomites', boasting a wonderful array of winter sports facilities and clear mountain air for summer walkers. Facilities at the Hotel Mirage include a bar, restaurant and heated indoor swimming pool.
