Montana, Big Sky Resorts

Big Sky is a census-designated place (CDP) in Gallatin and Madison counties in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Montana. This unincorporated community straddles the two counties, is not considered a town, and has no town government. The primary industry of the area is tourism.

Big Sky is located approximately midway between West Yellowstone and Bozeman on U.S. Route 191 and just 15 miles (24 km) from the northwestern border of the Yellowstone National Park.

Aspen Townhomes

Let us host you in charming Red Lodge, a historic town with old-West character and a few local characters to boot. Our elevation is 5,555 feet. The 68-mile drive through the Beartooth Mountains, open late May through mid-October, into Yellowstone Park takes you up to 10,947 feet. Enjoy rafting, horseback riding, and so much more. Big Sky Resort is located just one hour's drive from Yellowstone Park, and features accommodations in a spectacular natural setting. In winter, skiers and snowboarders can experience more than 3,600 acres and 4,350 vertical feet of downhill excitement blanketed with 400 inches of annual snowfall. The Lone Peak tram reaches within 15 feet of the 11,166-foot summit, offering some of the most exciting skiing in the world. Summer season offers golf on an Arnold Palmer-designed course, scenic gondola rides, hiking, mountain biking, white-water rafting, horseback riding, and fly-fishing in five blue-ribbon trout streams.

Chateau Rouge Lodge

While staying at Chateau Rouge Lodge, be sure to drive the Beartooth Highway, called the most scenic drive in America. The highway begins at Red Lodge, climbs 11,000 ft. to Beartooth Pass, then drops quickly down to the northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park, about a 2 1/2 hour drive. In spring and summer enjoy trout fishing, golf, horseback riding and tennis within 5 miles of the resort. If you're a skier, Red Lodge boasts the highest and sunniest ski areas in Montana. Only 6 miles from the resort, the ski area offers 25 miles of trails with a top elevation of 9,416 ft.

Lake Condominiums

The resort is located at the base of 11,166-foot Lone Mountain, which offers on-site activities and nature at its finest in the areas of Gallatin National Forest and Yellowstone National Park. In summer, an 18-hole golf course, white- water rafting, mountain bicycling, horse- back riding, and chairlift rides offer activities for all tastes. Winter snows bring skiing to Big Sky. Snow skiing begins Thanksgiving Day based on snowfall and ends mid-April. The slopes for down- hill skiing are accessible by lifts, high- speed quads, trams, and surface tows. Wild life is in the area.

Yellowstone Village

West Yellowstone, MT

Enjoy the natural serenity of a vacation at Yellowstone Village. Located on a breathtaking mountain meadow in southwest Montana, the resort is adjacent to Yellowstone National Park. In winter, the area has more than 400 miles of groomed snowmobile trails and great downhill skiing 40 miles away at Big Sky. Summer activities include trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Quake Lake, Jackson Hole, Teton Park, and the Lewis and Clark Caverns are nearby. Yellowstone National Park is just 10 miles away, and is open from May 1 to late October and from mid- December to mid-March.
